Making Time.

This summer is coming to a stand still. Seventh heatwave and going strong.
I've allowed myself the remainder of the summer to just have fun... Live it up while I'm not studying. In September I'll try to concentrate on school and saving money for a decent vacation next summer... We are discussing some sort of European excursion...

Molly moved back to Florida... I miss her : (
Things have mostly been terrible lately... But hopefully will improve after this weekend.

Oops.

Last Published March 10th... That's not good. Today someone asked me, "Do you write?" And I could hardly answer yes. I'm ashamed! I need to start writing daily, for no real purpose other than to be writing. It's a weird feeling, like life is slowly, yet steadily slipping away... And suddenly you're very aware of that progression. But you've chosen to forget. La, de da. I lost 6 or 7 years there. But it used to be so habitual and fun.

I'm still very happy in life, which I think makes it harder to write. Is that ridiculous? I'm sure. But not every post needs photos and a point. I just need somewhere to write! Right.

if winter ends...

I am still hating this winter, and just sort of crawling through life until spring. It's hard to get motivated without sunshine and warmth. Sometimes I think I take on too much... Or my interests shift too frquently. I've been listening to a lot of dance music to keep me going.

Yeasayer - odd blood
Phoenix - wolfgang amadeus phoenix
Passion pit - manners
Mgmt - oracular spectacular
Black kids - partytraumatic
Crystal castles - self titled
And of course Gaga.

The spring headbands will be out by April 1st... I really need to get some focus. But at the same time, I just want to do everything.

Snownley (snow-lonely)

I've been stuck in my house for several days now. I'm very sick, and there is a terrible snowstorm. It's awful pretty though...
... And I do like pretty things...

I can't wait to have a real photoshoot with real models. I can't do these new pieces justice. Hand sewn sequins, beautifully arranged feathers, bead, silk flowers. I'm happy with them, but I have so much work to do yet.

Get superficial with me.

I'm stuck at home, sick with pneumonia. Cabin fever has set in. So I'm compiling a superficial wish-list for spring:

Silver flats- Seychellesfootwear.com - $80.00 = probably not going to happen.

Navy Oxfords from Seychelles - $90, and therefore also probably not going to happen. Although they look really comfy and therefore tempting.

I am seriously contemplating these crazy strappy black wedges from Forever21. They're under $30 but I doubt their comfort. They'd probably look cute with my newest purchase from American Apparel:

This red one piece romper is going to look adorable on me this summer. I got 2 of their cute comfy spandex tube bras for under it, including one in their signature "Afrika" print, which I'm in love with. I already own the black and white Afrika print dress:

It has pockets. It's currently my favorite dress. (Thanks Mom!)

Here's one thing I need for Spring:

A pretty, cheap floral print skirt.
These are all less than $15 and from Forever21...

Who wants to go shopping?

hibernation.

I think I've slipped into hibernation mode. Winter is never easy on me. I stay indoors, but I stay busy... Mostly planning bigger things for my hair ornaments. I should have a huge variety for the launch of my spring line. I made 5 new headbands and 2 clips today. They're consistent to my original theme but also developing new ones. I need to think of a name. I want to come out with 50-100 pieces of handmade wearable art in seasonal launches, beginning with Spring 2010. They will include mostly hair accessories at first, but I've already started dabbling into jewelry. The first photo above is the result. I love the tea pot!

My crafts are getting more whimsical. I like it.

The future is full of projects to keep me busy. I'm searching for a dress form to get started on some clothes with a coworker who might be my style opposite. It should be interesting!

I'm shying away from the camera. I've been trying to get the word out that I'm looking for models interested in wearing my hair accessories and posing with horses at Molly's farm. We'll see how that goes! There are so many exciting opportunities... I'm feeling a little overwhelmed! I promise to attempt to stay on track and get more done... On a more daily basis...
